What is armored cable?

Armored cable is a specially designed cable that adds a metal protective layer, such as steel strip, steel wire or aluminum strip, between the insulation layer and the sheath layer of ordinary cables to significantly enhance the mechanical strength and durability of the cable.

 

Analysis of Armored Cable Structure:

Conductor: usually made of copper or aluminum core, responsible for conducting current;

Insulation layer: wraps the conductor and provides electrical insulation protection;

Armor layer: made of metal material (such as steel strip, steel wire or aluminum strip), used to resist external impact;

Outer sheath: the outermost layer, providing additional protection and sealing.

Mechanical protection: resist external forces such as compression, collision, and animal bites to prevent damage to cable structures;

Anti interference capability: Metal armor has a magnetic shielding effect, especially suitable for environments with low frequency interference resistance;
