Products Description

1. Application: THHN/THWN-2 cable is widely used for power distribution, lighting systems, control circuits, and general building wiring in both residential and commercial installations. It is suitable for installation in conduits, cable trays, and other approved raceways. The cable is rated for use in both dry and wet locations, with a maximum operating temperature of 90°C in dry locations and 75°C in wet or oily environments. Its thermoplastic insulation and nylon jacket provide excellent resistance to heat, moisture, oil, and abrasion, making it ideal for indoor, protected, and industrial applications.

2. Standards Complies with the following standards and specifications:

(1) CSA C22.2 No. 75

(2) National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements

(3) NEMA WC-70 / ICEA S-95-658

(4) ASTM B800, B801, B836

(5) Federal Specification AA-59544

(6) Sizes 1/0 AWG and larger are rated for CT use

3. Construction

(1) Conductors: Solid/stranded soft drawn copper conductors per ASTM standards.

(2) Insulation: Low coefficient of friction ("slick") Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC), resistant to abrasion, heat, and moisture.

(3) Jacket: Clear nylon jacket with excellent abrasion, heat, and moisture resistance, and a low coefficient of friction.
